07.2. For the roles for which you have RI oversight/accountability or implementation responsibilities, indicate how you execute these responsibilities.

Cheyne’s investment staff, inclusive of portfolio managers and investment analysts are primarily responsible for ensuring that the consideration of ESG issues is implemented into investment decisions. ESG factors are commented on within each investment proposal made to the relevant investment committee. Where additional ESG subject matter expertise is needed, the team may utilise external resources as relevant and necessary.

Members of Cheyne support staff, inclusive of the investor relations and business transformation team ensure that best practice and investor expectations, in terms of ESG integration is fed back to the investment staff so that we can continue to improve methods of RI adoption.  This also feeds into the annual update of the ESG investment policy which is a co-joined effort between investment and non-investment staff.

Stuart Fiertz, Cheyne’s Co-Founder, President and Director of Research, supervises the execution of the ESG investment policy.
