LBPAM joined the Forum in 2014. La Banque Postale is the major shareholder of LBPAM and chairs the committee in charge of the retail market. Activities of this committee include the organization of the French SRI Week, taking place every year in September or October.

Groupe La Poste is a signatory since 2003. LBPAM is a subsidiary of La Poste.

LBPAM has a seat on the Board of Directors of AFG (Association Française de la Gestion financière), the French professional organization of asset management.

The SRI team of LBPAM regularly participates to two committees of AFG, one on Corporate Governance and another one on Socially Responsible Investment.

  • The Corporate Governance Committee aims to publish annually the "Recommendations on Corporate Governance", intended to investors who wish to exercise their voting rights at general meetings.
  • The SRI Committee helps to coordinate the actions of its members for the promotion of SRI in France.

LBPAM is a sponsor and President of FDIR. The research projects of the FDIR chair are run by the IDEI‐Toulouse School of Economics and the Economics Department at Ecole Polytechnique.

As members of CDC Biodiversité Nature 2050, we reverse fees from debt funds invested in sectors generating a positive impact on the environment.

In september 2019, LBPAM became a signatory of both the Tobacco-Free Finance Pledge and the TCFD. The purpose of the first initiative is to involve the financial sector in addressing global health priorities resulting from tobacco use across lending, insurance and investment. The purpose of the TCFD recommendations is to help better climate-related risks disclosure across the financial industry.

LBPAM became a signatory of the FAIRR Initiative, Access-to-Medicine Foundation in September 2018,  Finance for Tomorrow, Tobacco Pledge and TCFD Investor Statement

The purpose of the FAIRR Initiative is to promote best practices on animal welfare and antibiotics use in the animal protein production industry. At the end of 2018, LBPAM supported an engagement campaign towards major fast food issuers to ask for improved disclosure of their climate-related.

The Access to Medicine Foundation aims at stimulating and guiding pharmaceutical companies to do more for the people living in low- and middle-income countries without access to medicine. In November 2018, LBPAM attended the 2018 Coller Index launch in London and had 3 engagement meetings with issuers of the sector.

Finance 4 Tomorrow is a French think-thank whose purpose is to help improving the assessment and the disclosure of climate-related risks. LBPAM is an active member of the working group for the financial sector.

Description

          Our team trained retail advisors of La Banque Postale (LBPAM's majority shareholder) to the basics of responsible investment and LBPAM's ESG methodology called GREaT. The purpose of these trainings was to provide advisors with some background to help them better inform retail customers in the selection of ESG funds for their savings.

As a member of the French SIF and the SRI Commission of the AFG we have participated in market initiatives with public policy makers focused on sustainable investment. In 2018, LBPAM mainly contributed to the review of the French SRI label.
