SG 07. RI roles and responsibilities

07.1. Indicate the internal and/or external roles used by your organisation, and indicate for each whether they have oversight and/or implementation responsibilities for responsible investment.

07.2. For the roles for which you have RI oversight/accountability or implementation responsibilities, indicate how you execute these responsibilities.

The ESG committee is responsible for defining RI policies which are ratified by senior level management. Portfolio management, analysts and other ESG investment staff are responsible for implementing RI policies in investment portfolios. Risk management and compliance are responsible for monitoring if the RI policies are implemented correctly. Senior level management is responsible for the measures taken if RI policies are not implemented correctly.

ASR Board members are ultimately responsible for CSR (CEO) and RI (CFO) actvitities. Non-financial targets are responsibility of CFO. The CIO reports to the CFO. All RI related issues are discussed and approved by ESG committee, in which the CIO, management of a.s.r. asset management and the ESG team are represented. ESG policy is fully integrated; all portfoliomanagers, investment analysts and investor relations are responsible for implementation.

SG 07 CC. Climate-issues roles and responsibilities

07.5 CC. Indicate the roles in the organisation that have oversight, accountability and/or management responsibilities for climate-related issues.

07.6 CC. For board level roles for which have climate-related issues oversight/accountability or implementation responsibilities, indicate how these responsibilities are executed.

The Board of Directors (CEO and CFO) are ultimately responsible for climate related issues. The non-financial target on measuring carbon emissions of the a.s.r. portfolio falls under the responsibility of the CFO. The CIO report to ASR NL CFO. CIO and senior management staff have oversight on climate related issues through the quaterly ESG Management Comittee. Implementation, measurement and monitoring of climated related issues lays with portfolio managers and dedicated ESG staff.
