IFC policies, as they relate to in-house management and initiatives, are discussed and agreed upon by the Executive Committee. Department Heads and VPs are tasked with instituting these policies and bringing their intended goals to fruition.
Investor Relations maintains accountability for communicating ESG commitments to investors. Moreover, as the primary interface between investors and the rest of IFC, Investor Relations is able to bring to IFC's management team recommendations and requests from investors for the implementation of new ESG-related policies and initiatives within the firm.
Each Department, as directed by their Head, is responsible for enforcing the policies related to their workflows. Activities that come under our various stewardship policies include property sourcing, due diligence, acquisitions, asset management, lessee commitments, data management and activity tracking, remediation, and asset dispositions.
Internal committees are actively consulted and their consent is required for all major business decisions, ensuring proper discretion, disclosure, and governance is exercised for the health and stewardship of all stakeholders.
