Description of how ESG factors are used as the screening criteria

We have defined a specific Environmental factor that captures the alignment of corporate issuers from high-emitting sectors with the 2 degrees warming scenario. We apply this quant factor in each of the relevant sectors to identify the best-in-class companies, i.e. those with targets and action that put them on a trajectory to 2 degrees. For example, in the airline industry we have identified Easyjet within the low-cost carriers as the leader in terms of climate change alignment.
