We have organised a number of client seminars during which we have provided an overview of our various ESG initiatives.
UBS AM is collaborating with Harvard School of Public Health, City University of New York and University of Wageningen on the development of science-based impact measurement methodologies for listed equities. UBS AM is funding the research and is working closely together with the academics on development of the methodologies. The research was launched in February 2016 and will continue until March 2019.
The research on impact measurement methodologies with Harvard School of Public Health, City University of New York and University of Wageningen is ongoing with frequent interactions between UBS AM Sustainable Investors team throughout the project (2016-2019).
We are working closely on the integration of ESG across all of UBS AM and all asset-classes, and collaborate with our colleagues in UBS WM and UBS corporate level initiative (UBS and Society). We publish papers that describe our investment philosophy and approach, including a paper in Science on our impact measurement research.
Members of the Sustainable and Impact Investing and the Sustainable Investors team regularly speak at conferences and events, either dedicated to responsible investment or mainstream investment conferences. Examples are the Responsible Investment Conferences in London and N.Y., a Chicago CFA Society event and a Pension Conference in San Francisco.
We have published a number of white papers on the subject of responsible investment, including: "Up in the air on carbon" (April 2017), "Stranded Assets - What lies beneath" (December 2017).
Bruno Bertocci (Head of Sustainable Investors team) was involved in the TCFD Taskforce, and continues to be involved in SASB. We interact with various RI groups, including IEN, academic institutions, and GRI.
We publish ad-hoc articles in relevant magazines. For example: In March 2017, we published an article ("Changing finance, financing change") in the IPE Magazine.
