Pension Investment Association of Canada (PIAC)
PSP Investments is an active member of PIAC. More specifically, a representative of PSP Investments is a member of the Investor Stewardship Committee.
Sponsored, attended and participated the 2017 PRI Quebec Network annual conference. In addition, a PSP representative is a member of the Event Committee of PRI Quebec and moderated a panel at the PRI Quebec Network annual conference.
Canadian Coalition for Good Governance (CCGG)
PSP is an active member of CCGG. More specifically, a representative of PSP Investments is a member of the Board and the Chair of the Member Engagement Committee.
Vice President, Responsible Investment chairs the Responsible Investment working group of Finance Montreal, is a board member of CCGG and is a member of the PRI Advisory Committee on Credit Ratings. Responsible Investment staff are also active members of organisations such as the Finance and Sustainability Initiative and PRI Québec Event Committee.
PSP Investments supported the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures for voluntary climate-related financial disclosures. Additionally, PSP Investments endorsed the 30% Club Canadian Investor Group Statement of Intent to achieve a minimum of 30% women on the boards and in executive management at S&P/TSX composite index companies by 2022. In June 2017, PSP Investments joined the Sustainable Stock Exchange initiative to enhance transparency in respect of ESG issues. Through its participation in PIAC’s Investor Stewardship Committee, PSP Investments contributed to the update of PIAC’s Corporate Governance Principles and Guidelines.
PSP Investments spoke publicly at numerous events to promote responsible investment, including: Colloque Carrière HEC, PRMIA-CFA, Femmes en Finance, Women in Capital Markets, Barreau Canadien, Norton Rose and RI America.
Actively participated in PRI Quebec Event Committee for organization of the PRI Quebec Annual Conference to promote the PRI and encourage adoption. Spoke about the benefits of adopting the PRI with External Managers.
PSP investments commented in January and June 2017 on the report published by the Task Force on Climate-Related Disclosure.
