Länsförsäkringar AB and its subsidiaries is owned by the 23 regional insurance companies. Its mission is to conduct joint banking and insurance operations, manage the Group's strategic development activities and provide service in areas that generate economies of scale and efficiency.

Länsförsäkringar AB is wholly owned by the regional insurance companies, together with 16 local insurance companies. In addition to the Parent Company, Länsförsäkringar AB, the Group includes Länsförsäkringar Sak, Länsförsäkringar Bank, Länsförsäkringar Fondliv, Länsförsäkringar Liv and the subsidiaries of these companies.

Länsförsäkringar offers life-insurance and pension solutions to corporate customers and private individuals. Fund management, guarantee management and personal insurance are offered through Länsförsäkringar Fondliv.

In this PRI report, Länsförsäkringar AB and its subsidiaries are referred to as “Länsförsäkringar AB.”

Approximately 50% of the AUM is managed through Länsförsäkringar AB’s asset management division and the mutual fund company respectivly.

The asset management division manages institutional portfolios on behalf of Länsförsäkringar Liv, Länsförsäkringar Sak, Agria, Länsförsäkringar Gruppliv and Länsförsäkringar AB.

The mutual fund company manages Länförsäkringar AB's own funds, both in equities and fixed income.

A majority of Länsförsäkringar AB's totalt assets under management are managed by external investment mangers.
