07.2. For the roles for which you have RI oversight/accountability or implementation responsibilities, indicate how you execute these responsibilities.

From the portfolio managers perspective, the main functions are shown below:

Quarterlly review of the information provided by our service providers that we then include in our internal equity and fixed income model.

  • Study, analysis and adaptation of current/new models for the different asset classes.
  • Control of the AGM's and submission of votes for all the investment vehicules, more than pension funds (investment funds, SICAV's....)
  • Periodical meeting with our clients with educational or explanatory purpose.
  • Collaboration with the Corporate Social Responsability of the group BBVA.

All the functions previously described are developed based on the information provided by the most experienced analysts in ESG issues.

As previously mentioned, GPP as part of BBVA Asset Management, subsidiary of BBVA, is consistent with its commitment about the development and progress of Responsible Investment Strategies and its implementation. 

The six employees previously mentioned are hired in BBVA Asset Management, who gives support to GPP. The daily tasks and objectives are developed and achieved with the support of BBVA Asset Management. From resources perspective, there is no differentiation between the employees from one organization or another.

Additionally , it is relevant to emphasise that GPP has hired top of the service providers worldwide for proxy voting and research activities related to the process of ESG integration in the investment process.
