We fully support the Principles for Responsible Investment and actively incorporate them into our investment process.

We actively promote the organisation through engaging with companies on their participation in CDP Climate Change.  We continue to engage with laggard companies to encourage them to report or improve their reporting results.

We completed the engagement that we led as members of the the Church Investors Group on participation in CDP Water this reporting year. We plan to continue this work in 2018.

We support EITI through engaging with Mining companies.

A founding member and previous member of the Steering Committee. We continue to support IIGCC through engagement with multiple companies throughout the reporting year.

Close connection with ICCR, which is mutually affiliated with the collaborative Church Investors Group. We supported ICCR through engagement around Farm Animal Welfare.

The Church Investors Group represents 62 Church denominations and church related charities, with combined assets of over £18bn.  We view collaborative engagements with Church Investors Group as making an important contribution to the impact of faith-based investment in the UK.  The CIO of the CFB is the vice chair of the Church Investors Group

We have long standing links with BBFAW and have engaged with laggard companies previously. 

          Transition Pathway Initiative

We our one of the founding members of the Transition Pathway Initiative (TPI) which highlights the impact of the transition to a low carbon economy on investment decisions.

          Within staff meetings, ethical issues have been discussed as case studies to be learnt from.

          Multiple climate change papers have been written in 2017 and published internally, as well as reports pertaining to modern slavery and tax justice.

The organisation acts as a Christian witness in the investment industry, seeking actively to promote the work that it does on responsible investment, and working to encourage responsible investment across the entire investment community.
