11.1. Describe your approach to integrating ESG into traditional financial analysis.

When researching and analyzing, we comprehensibly understand credit strength and investment risk by valuing non-financial information such as ESG factors in addition to financial information.

11.2. Describe how your ESG integration approach is adapted to each of the different types of fixed income you invest in.

SSA

With regard to SSA, we understand fiscal management policy, and we research and analyze a management of an organization with a focus on governance.

Corporate (non-financial)

With regard to corporate bonds, we qualitatively and quantitatively do an overall assessment by researching and analyzing financial and non-financial information such as ESG factors. As for ESG factors, we mainly focus on governance which has a high impact on credit strength.

SSA

With regard to SSA, we understand fiscal management policy, and as for government agencies, we check if they manage projects properly from the perspective of governance because their business are mainly for social and public and they are required to do a business operation with transparency and safety.

Corporate (non-financial)

With regard to corporate bonds, we do ESG integration investment because we believe ESG factors are helpful in understanding its potential risks and actions to improve its improvement of credit strength. For example, we focus governance, past environmental issues, a characteristic of its business with possible future environmental regulations and corporate culture.
