In the continuity of responsible investment policies engaged by FSI CDC Entreprises and FSI Regions since 2010, Bpifrance Investment has taken an approach of "Responsible Investor". In its fund of fund activities as that of direct investment, it incorporates ESG extra-financial criteria into its investment decision-making (analysis of investment, decision of investment, monitoring of its investments), in each segment of its investing activity, without sectorial exclusion. Bpifrance Investment sensitizes and also accompanies its partners (asset managers, companies…) in an initiative of progress in these domains.

This approach is coherent with its commitment to the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations' values, (shareholder to 50% of Bpifrance). It also meets a growing demand from most of the institutional subscribers. It is finally totally coherent with Bpifrance Investment's orientations and objectives in its activity of strengthening SMEs' equity and supporting their development , in participating in the development of the economy while assuring a financial profitability coherent with invested capital market practices. This policy of general integration of ESG criteria and of commitment (incentive to better make, and support) is a positive approach, aiming at reinforcing the attention given to ESG issues in the economic world.
