Ontario Teachers' has an integrated approach for engagements. Active equity portfolio managers, in their systematic analysis of companies, may identify information gaps or heightened risks and engage with companies on the specific issues or issues as required. We take a top down approach on our passive equities identifying engagement targets based on focus areas for engagements, such as supply chain or climate change issues. Our proxy voting activity will also catalyse engagemetns with companies.
