SG 07. RI roles and responsibilities

          Director, Portfolio Management and ESG

Board of Directors and CEO have oversight for all activities at LocalTapiola Asset Management. RI issues are reported to the Board of Directors at least annually. RI issues are discussed in the Management Board at least bi-annually. CIO and Director, Portfolio Management and ESG are both members of the Management Board. Director, Portfolio Management and ESG is responsible for developing RI policies and implementing them into portfolio management. Portfolio Managers are responsible for implementing the RI policies, in particular for conducting the ESG analysis of individual investments. One of the Portfolio Managers is acting as an ESG coordinator in order to facilitate and expedite ESG projects.

As our approach is to integrate ESG into our daily processes, we have several people, including all portfolio managers, working on ESG issues on daily basis. Our Director, Portfolio Management and ESG allocates a majority of her time to RI activities. One of the portfolio managers is acting as a coordinator in ESG issues and projects. We strongly encourage all staff to promote knowledge of RI for example via intranet news, videos, blog updates and internal training.
