Metzler Investment GmbH exercises voting for Metzler Asset Management GmbH via our service provider BMO.

It evaluate proposals at annual general meetings in terms of how compatible they are with social and environmental concerns. One of the duties of corporate governance is to take social and environmental concerns into account when making decisions whenever possible without impeding efficient governance. In this regard, Metzler Investment GmbH avails of assistance from external service providers such as BMO, whose voting guidelines are incorporated herein by reference. If Metzler Investment GmbH considers a proposal at an annual general meeting to be incompatible with social and environmental concerns after appropriate consideration of all circumstances, the firm will abstain or vote against such proposals.

Metzler Asset Management GmbH merged into Metzler Investment GmbH on December 7, 2016. Immediately following the merger, Metzler Investment GmbH was renamed Metzler Asset Management GmbH. Metzler Asset Management GmbH has taken over all tasks previously carried out by both companies.
