The Fund joined collaborative engagement initiatives through the PRI Clearing House and has served a co-signatory to company engagements.

Carbon Action

The Fund has access to most organisations through the service providers memberships and LAPFF. The Fund also has direct membership of CDP Carbon Action, CDP Water and CDP Forests.

The Fund joined LAPFF in 2015. Officers and the Chair of the Fund regularly attend the quarterly business meetings and the annual meeting. The Fund's investment manager also attends the LAPFF annual conference.

Global Compact is the core element of the GES model. GES, on behalf of SPF respond to breaches of international norms as measured by Global Compact. SPF therefore engages on the basis of Global Compact

          Institutional Investor Group on Climate Change (IIGCC) ShareAction Living Wage campaign, RE100 Renewable Energy, FAIRR, RI Roundtable, GES engagement roundtables and the Global Child Forum

Through LAPFF, the Fund has engaged mainly on corporate governance, reliable accounts and climate change. Specifically, LAPFF has engaged policymakers on the failings of IFRS 9, climate risk and new regulations regarding the management and investment of funds for the Local Government Pension Scheme.
