AustralianSuper engages individually and collaboratively through ACSI.
AustralianSuper's individual engagement with companies focuses on companies in which we are already invested and is structured around three main types of engagement:
Ongoing relationship building: Generic topics of discussion with the companies are expected to revolve around business strategy, remuneration and governance issues often related to the Board. In addition, this form of engagement will our voting activity
Themes based engagement: This form of engagement may be informed by previous voting decisions or may be requested by the AustralianSuper Board as a priority thematic engagement topic.
Ad hoc specific issues engagement: For example for important resolutions for which the Fund votes "Against" should be typically preceded by engagement where possible.
Engagement through ACSI focuses on all Australian companies and it not necessarily restricted to companies in which we are invested (see their policy attached)
