Our business model has always been to serve as an independent OCIO for our clients and thus we seek to maintain a conflict-free business model. We are not distracted by, or competing against, other lines of business, so we are able to bring the full resources of our firm to each OCIO client. Strategic does not receive fees from broker-dealers, commission recapture firms, money management firms, or any hard or soft dollar arrangements in connection with the hiring or termination of investment managers. The firm does not directly or indirectly sell data, research, services or other information to others. Importantly, Strategic structures OCIO relationships so we do not earn additional revenue depending on the asset allocation or manager selection decisions we make for clients. This aligns our financial incentives with our client’s interests.
