All policies relating to ESG are formally reviewed and signed off by the Board of Longview Partners (Guernsey) Limited on an annual basis.

Longview's Research Analysts and CIO are responsible for the implementation of responsible investment.  Assessing the significance of ESG related risks and opportunities is an integral part of our bottom-up research process.  Longview encourages high standards of ESG when we meet with senior management of a company. In our company meetings we will discuss strategy and corporate responsibility issues with company board directors and executives, as we believe that these factors affect the potential for a company to deliver long-term sustainable value to shareholders. Such factors include remuneration, finance, climate change, reputation and litigation risks, deployment of capital and energy efficiency.

Longview engages Glass Lewis to vote on our clients' behalf at all relevant company meetings. 

Longview's Operations Team are responsible for the oversight of proxy voting activities and manage Longview's relationship with Glass Lewis. 

Longview's Institutional Clients team (investor relations) co-ordinates all reporting to clients, including reporting relating to ESG.  This team is also responsible for the maintenance of all ESG related policies.
