CSR ORGANIZATION WITHIN ARDIAN

The CSR Committee is composed of top management representatives from the investment teams but also support functions, they meet quarterly and provide key inputs for the global CSR and Responsible Investment strategy at Ardian.

Driven by a deep and shared conviction within the whole firm and direct involvement of the top management to lead the agenda, CSR organization within Ardian relies on a tailored model to fit our specific business philosophy, dedicated resources and time. The CSR Committee is composed of top management representatives from the investment teams but also support functions. They meet quarterly to provide key inputs for the global CSR and responsible investment strategy at Ardian and to monitor progress.

Under the supervision of this committee, the Head of Corporate & Investment Responsibility is ultimately responsible for developing and implementing the strategy and coordinates internal and external resources with the help of the CSR team. In recent years, Ardian has continuously sought to empower and provide concrete guidance to investment teams through dedicated training conducted by ESG experts in an attempt embed ESG in the investment activity.

Ardian continuously seeks to increase internal awareness in relation to responsible investment. During the reporting year, it undertook a series an initiatives to raise teams' awareness and skills: for instance, in 2016, Ardian formalized a comprehensive responsible investment policy, produced tailored ESG Reports for its LPs, included ESG review factsheets & analysis in its funds’ Management reports. Ardian also published dedicated articles in its internal newsletter, co-organized and hosted responsible investment-oriented conferences, organised responsible investment training sessions for targeted staff members, etc.
