The direct engagement on Swiss companies depends on each company's assessment of ESG performance. Ethos collects ESG data on the 200 Swiss listed companies. A systematic engagement is sought with every Swiss listed company.

Regarding non Swiss companies, Ethos relies on data provided by third parties such as Sustainalytics, RepRisk and Trucost as a primary source of information and input for the definition the engagement topics and targets.

We gather data on key engagement topics for Swiss listed companies every year. This allows us to benchmark each company of the universe and to measure the evolution of company' practices on key ESG issues year-on-year. Ethos has a central database in which each contact with investee companies is inputed. At year-end, Ethos prepares a detailed engagement report for the members of the Ethos Engagement Pool. The report includes details on the engagement activities carried out with the companies included in the universe and for each key engagement indicator.
