RFI focusing on Responsible Investing in addition to a confirmation that the manager is aware of the contents of the Skandia ownership policy.
A detailed RFI is sent out, with a request for a description of the managers' approach to responsible investing. The RFI is assessed internally and is used as a key input to investment committee decision to appoint managers. If the assessment outcome is deemed unsatisfactory the manager will not be appointed.
Above input has led to some managers not being appointed.
