Board members or trustees

Christian Super’s trustee board is responsible for ensuring the Fund’s assets are managed in accordance with the Fund’s Ethical Investment Charter, and various social, environmental and ethical investment policy.

Christian Super’s Ethics committee is responsible with considering and reviewing the Fund’s ethical investment objectives and ethical positions, including investigating specific ethical issues, with regard to Biblical principles and to advise the Fund and make recommendations to the Investment Committee; take an active interest in ethical considerations regarding the Fund’s policies and practices; and maintain and regularly review all relevant responsible investment policies

Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Investment Officer (CIO), Investment Committee

Christian Super’s CIO is responsible for overseeing, and in some cases approving, the following

  • Negative screens
  • Proxy voting
  • Company engagement
  • Portfolio managers

Christian Super’s portfolio managers are responsible for ensuring ethical and ESG issues are integrated into external manager selection, appointment and monitoring. Where portfolio managers are directly managing assets, they are responsible for integrating ethical and ESG considerations into their investment decision making process, and ensuring the portfolio abides by the Fund’s negatives screens.

Investment analysts

Christian Super’s investment analyst are responsible for supporting the portfolio managers in all aspects of manager selection, appointment and monitoring.

Dedicated responsible investment staff

Christian Super’s responsible investment staff are responsible for

  • Company research
  • Building negative screens
  • Identifying company engagement opportunities
  • Ensuring proxy votes are cast in accordance with the Fund’s proxy voting policies
  • Identifying relevant ethical and ESG issues, to be shared with portfolio managers and investment analyst
  • Engaging directly with external managers on ethical and ESG issues
