The Fonds de solidarité FTQ is a union-based development capital investment fund. The Fonds endeavours to collect the savings of Quebecers who want to participate in creating and maintaining jobs, in order to improve the situation of workers and to stimulate the Québec economy. In addition to finance Québec-based companies, the Fonds' mission also includes raising awareness and encouraging workers to save for retirement as well as providing economic training to workers. The Fonds' mission is supported with tax credit by both levels of government (Québec and Canada).
